The Teen HEAL (Healthy Eating Active Living) Internship Program strives to empower youths to improve their nutritional and physical well-being, and foster leadership skills. High school students are recruited to become Teen HEAL interns. Interns will be taught 8 nutrition skills and various leadership skills in 13 training sessions, and then utilize their skills to serve their peers by leading 33 bi-weekly Teen HEAL clubs at 5 high schools to promote healthy cooking, healthy eating habits, and active lifestyles. Each intern will impact others via (1) sponsoring school clubs, and (2) online Zoom Teen HEAL club.
